Products or offers
A product is the thing itself, described once: its title, format, barcode. Every shop that stocks it points at the same product. Switching here shows products; the search finds them by title or barcode.
An offer is one shop's price for one product today, with how many it has. A product can have offers from several shops, or none. Switching here shows offers; the search finds a price.

Catalogs
A catalog is a subject's way of sorting its products: Media by format, grocery by aisle. Picking a shelf narrows the products and offers shown to that part of the catalog. It does not pick a shop.
